A Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of experience across the NHS and independent sector. She has extensive expertise in supporting children aged 0-19 with neurological and physical disabilities, complex medical needs, and neurodevelopmental conditions in various settings, including community services and complex needs schools.
Carly has a deep passion for play-based therapies, helping children develop and learn new skills through meaningful play occupations. Carly is well-versed in equipment assessments, adaptations, and postural management, ensuring that children have the tools and support they need to thrive.
In 2020, Carly founded the Developmental Play Academy®, an award winning platform dedicated to training practitioners worldwide in evidence-based, play-centred approaches to child development. Through the Academy, Carly empowers professionals across health, social care and the early years sector to create inclusive play spaces across communities.
Outside of her professional life, Carly is a mother of two, she enjoys long walks in nature with her labrador, and is a lover of music and dance.
